Forensic parazitology
During the lecture is provided a knowledge of parasitic species, their biology and development cycles, as well as the pathology of parasitic invasions, useful in forensic investigation, explanation of economic, nature conservation and environmental contamination crimes. The geographical range of specific parasite species is presented. The immunological and social aspects of human infection with parasites are discussed.
The following issues are discussed during the exercises: methods of collection, preservation and preservation of parasitological material, parasitological traces at the event site, detection and identification methods used in parasitology (microscopic, immunochemical, genetic, immunological), methods of culturing of parasites isolated from biological material, genetic markers used in parasite identification.
